The Line Producer for OffTopic will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth production of each podcast episode. This individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing essential production elements, including guest booking, venue selection, and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, highly organized, and can manage multiple moving parts to deliver a polished final product.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Management:Identify, vet, and shortlist potential guests aligned with the podcast’s themes and audience.
Coordinate schedules, send invitations, and confirm guest participation.
Ensure guests are prepared, briefed on topics, and comfortable with the recording format.
Venue & Logistics Coordination:Secure and coordinate appropriate venues for live recordings or remote studios as needed.
Manage all logistical arrangements, including equipment setup, audio/visual requirements, and any special accommodations.
Coordinate with venue staff to ensure seamless execution of recording sessions.
Production Coordination:Oversee the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of each episode.
Collaborate with hosts, writers, and technical teams to maintain production timelines and deadlines.
Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, invoicing, and scheduling.
Content & Creative Support:Provide support in researching topics, trends, and other content to enrich episode discussions.
Assist in script and outline preparations, ensuring each episode maintains a dynamic flow.
Team Liaison:Serve as the point of contact between creative, technical, and logistical teams to streamline communication.
Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related challenges that arise during recordings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, Film Production, or related field.
Proven experience as a Line Producer or Production Coordinator, preferably in podcasting or digital media.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, especially in guest relations.
Knowledge of podcast production, audio/visual equipment, and relevant software.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with high-profile guests or talent.
Familiarity with podcasting platforms and distribution channels.
Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
